School Visits
Stone Cross Windmill

School Group Visits are welcomed at the Mill throughout the year.
The children are given a guided tour; shown how the wheat is made into flour and the windmill works.

They are allowed to operate the quern to experience for themselves how the grain turns into flour

School parties can be geared to whatever aspect is required under the curriculum.
The Mill is a part of the Industrial Heritage of Stone Cross and links past engineering achievements with future developments such as wind farms.
The Local Heritage Centre offers information on the environment and alternative forms of power as well as giving children the opportunity to learn about the local area.
