Diagramatic drawing of Dust & Bin Floors

Dust Floor

This floor is 38ft above the ground and you can now view the inside of the Cap.  The cap weighs about 10½ ton and is not fixed to the Tower but rests on a cast iron curb.

Dominating the Dust Floor is the Brake Wheel, which is the largest wheel in the Mill.  It has a diameter of 8 feet 9 inches.

The Brake Wheel meshes with a smaller wheel called the Wallower.  This takes power down to the Stones.
